Applications include add-ons
The contract applies to desktop and web applications, extensions, plugins and host add-ons such as Blender add-ons.
Browser destination reuse
A link identifies a logical destination. Repeated navigation reuses and focuses the matching browser tab, updating its path, query or fragment; it opens a new tab only when no match exists or the user explicitly requests one.
Least privilege
Allowlist exact schemes, hosts, repositories, paths and local ports. Do not grant arbitrary file, loopback or hosting-domain access.
No weaker reinvention
An adapter inherits the shared architecture or proves equivalent or stronger reuse, fallback, security and tests. Project rules may narrow or strengthen it, never silently weaken it.
Application patterns
Blender
Use one shared adapter. Public Guides use canonical HTTPS; local content uses bounded loopback /chat and /view routes instead of general file:// access.
Pages
Use stable public scope and exact heading IDs. Treat custom-domain and Pages-origin equivalence deliberately and verify the deployed destination.
Laravel
Use the framework router inside the app and the shared reuse bridge for external entry. Preserve auth, tenant and account boundaries in destination identity.
Interactive color states
Design foreground and background as one semantic token pair for every hover, :focus-visible, active, selected and pressed state. Normal text must retain at least 4.5:1 contrast, large text 3:1, and meaningful non-text indicators 3:1 where applicable. Reuse a verified pair or calculate it automatically; the user does not need to research each combination.
Pair the tokens
Use pairs such as --menu-hover-bg and --menu-hover-text. Never change a background while inheriting an unverified resting text color.
Keyboard parity
Apply an equally readable state to :focus-visible and retain a visible focus indicator.
Verify every state
Test resting, hover, focus, active, selected/current, visited where relevant, disabled and every supported theme.
In-app information
Hover
Compact rows expose their complete meaning even when the panel clips the visible label.
Multiline detail
Clicking opens persistent paragraphs when a native tooltip cannot remain interactive.
Exact Guide link
The detail links to a published heading ID and follows the browser destination reuse contract.
Preserve valid documentation
Edit differentially. Retain every still-valid operational detail, change only the statements affected by the feature, and remove material only with evidence that it is obsolete, duplicated or contradictory. Review the documentation diff, build the whole Guide and verify the deployed page and anchors.
Branch cleanup
Enable automatic deletion of merged pull-request head branches where repository settings permit it. Local cleanup continues to require verified clean, merged and current-branch gates. A platform approval rejection is reported precisely and is not turned into repeated user questioning.
