Participant

The neutral identity concept for every entity that can actively take part in the 2HE-Eco.

Definition

A Participant is an identifiable entity that can actively take part in the 2HE-Eco.

Possible participant kinds

Person

An individual taking part in engineering, operation, review, or decision-making.

AI Partner

An AI system or agent actively collaborating in the engineering process.

Collective

A team or organization participating through an identifiable identity.

Machine Participant

An automation or service that observes, executes, communicates, or changes state.

Identity relationships

Participant
├── assumes → Role
├── possesses or accesses → Capability
├── receives or holds → Authority
├── is granted → Permission
├── accepts or is assigned → Responsibility
└── earns or is assigned → Trust

Boundary

Participant identifies who or what is taking part. It does not itself define role, ability, legitimate power, allowed actions, accountability, or justified reliance.

Repositories, documents, tools, and products are not Participants merely because they exist. An active service, automation, agent, or accountable entity may participate through them.
